What’s actually in
your airport quote?

Seven questions to ask before booking airport transportation from Nassau County.

Nassau Airport Rides · Published October 23, 2026

1. Is this the total for my exact trip?

Give the full Nassau County pickup address and airport. A price advertised for a region, vehicle or starting point may not match your itinerary. Ask whether the quote is for one vehicle, one passenger or the whole group, and whether it covers one way or a return.

Request the complete amount due and an explanation of any variable charges. Ask about tolls, taxes, airport charges, gratuity, payment fees, extra stops and waiting. These are questions to confirm, not a statement that every provider charges every item.

2. Will our luggage fit?

Describe the bags, not just the passenger count. Four people with carry-ons have different space needs from four people with large checked bags, a stroller and sports equipment. Confirm the vehicle’s suitability before you accept the quote.

If you need a child seat, wheelchair-accessible vehicle or help entering the vehicle, explain the requirement when calling. Get explicit confirmation of availability, equipment and any added charge.

3. Where exactly will we meet?

For home pickups, identify the entrance and any access instructions. For airport arrivals, confirm the terminal, meeting area and when to contact dispatch. Ask whether you must take an airport train or shuttle to reach the vehicle.

JFK publishes separate transportation guidance and construction advisories. Consult the airport’s official transportation page and confirm the instructions for the service you booked. Do not rely on an old pickup screenshot.

4. When does waiting time start?

Ask how much waiting, if any, is included; when the clock starts; and what additional time costs. Landing, reaching the gate and emerging with checked bags are different moments. Confirm how flight delays or early arrivals affect the reservation and whether you must contact dispatch.

5. What happens if our plans change?

Request cancellation and no-show terms before paying. Ask about the cutoff for changes, any deposit and how refunds are handled. If you book a return leg, establish what happens if the airline changes the date, airport or flight number.

6. Who confirms the reservation?

A quote is not the same as a confirmed booking. Obtain confirmation of the travel date, pickup time, addresses, passengers, vehicle requirements, price and contact number. Keep a copy that you can find easily while traveling.

7. Are we comparing the same service?

Two prices are only useful side by side when they cover the same passengers, bags, route and arrangements. For a return airport pickup, compare meeting location and waiting terms as well as the headline price.

“I need transportation from [Nassau County address] to [airport] on [date] for [passengers], with [bags]. My flight is [number/time]. We also need [return details or special requirements]. What is the complete price, what could change it, and how do I confirm the booking?”
